Jewelry Care

To ensure the longevity of your .925 sterling silver jewelry, please refrain from wearing during swimming, bathing, and strenuous activity. Tarnish may occur over time but can be removed simply with a silver polishing cloth (this can be purchased on Amazon, but a complimentary polishing pad comes with your piece). Frequent wearing of the jewelry will also minimize tarnish. To further reduce the development of tarnish, I suggest storing your pieces in airtight plastic bags.

If your piece has been intentionally darkened (using patina), it is normal for this to fade over time. If you intend to polish your piece, do so carefully as it can remove the patina.

Reminders

As a reminder, this is a handmade piece and imperfections may be possible. Any and all imperfections (if they exist) will be listed and will not change the integrity of the piece. Any discounts will be reflected in the price.

While photos of pieces remain unedited with the exception of increasing background light, on occasion colors of stones may vary in person. If there is a significant difference in the color in photos versus in real life, this will be mentioned in the listing.

Shipping

All packages are shipped via USPS First Class mail. If you have any other shipping requirements, please contact Black Earth Jewelry.

Returns

Returns are done at the discretion of Black Earth Jewelry. Black Earth Jewelry will not accept returns on pieces that are damaged or broken. If deemed acceptable, return shipping is the expense of the buyer and will be refunded when the item is shipped back.

Repairs

If your piece needs to be repaired within 30 days of purchasing due to a defect on the part of Black Earth Jewelry- the piece will be repaired free of charge. Shipping will be the responsibility of the buyer and will be refunded when the item is shipped back. Any other damage from normal wear and tear will be repaired at the discretion of Black Earth Jewelry. If the piece is severely and damaged and needs to be completely re-done, there will be an additional hourly fee starting at $40/hour.
